Nike Metcon 7 AMP – Overview
The Nike Metcon 7 AMP cross-training shoe is the gold standard for weightlifting and is even more rigid and stable than its predecessors. It is built explicitly for weightlifters, athletes, and CrossFitters for exercises such as CrossFit, HIIT, Bootcamp, weightlifting, and running. The underfoot pressure mapping makes this version 9% more stable than older versions, with its heel stabilizing plate dispersing weight from side to side and flexing to make high-intensity intervals feel secure and relaxed.
This shoe now uses the Nike React foam that is lightweight and springy, so you can smash it into high gear during cardio drills and sprints. No need to switch shoes. With Metcon 7 AMP, you can smoothly move between heavy lifting, training, and running with Nike React foam, adding plenty of responsive, comfortable cushion. The lightweight mesh with textured overlays in high-wear zones helps keep your foot cool without sacrificing durability.
Metcon 7 AMP has an updated rubber encasing the sides for grip during rope climbs and a hook-and-loop tab to keep laces locked down and out of the way. The Flywire cables integrate with the laces to secure your midfoot, while the handstand clip at the heel decreases drag during wall exercises.
